Travel updates from Jake and Zoe
Welcome to my Travel Blog, 2019 style! Instead of me sending the emails to you, you’re going to sign up for the emails here:
And now, some history:
Every time my family would travel when I was a child, my dad would force my brother and I to sit down and write about our day. What we had done, what we had eaten, and what we had enjoyed and hated. More often than not, I hated writing about travelling. At the end of a long day, the last thing I wanted to do was sit down and get assigned homework from my dad.
But now that I’m older and have more perspective, and even enjoy writing, I realise how valuable all those old travel diaries are. If I ever want to trace back my distaste for amusement parks, I just have to open up that old book to a cold, rainy morning at Universal Studios in March of 2006.
Over the years, I’ve sent out travel blog emails to family and friends everywhere from Greece, New Zealand, Croatia, Ecuador, Germany and plenty more. I love getting to share my experience, but it’s difficult to manage a large (and growing) email list on my phone. So I’m going to use one of my favourite startups of this year, substack, to manage the email list for me, and deliver the emails straight to your inbox.
Sign up now so you don’t miss the first email I’ll be sending from the road, probably from somewhere in Italy.
In the mean time, tell your friends!
